10-Month-Old Put Terro Ant Bait in Mouth – Is It Harmful?
My 10-month-old son put a Terro ant bait in his mouth. He didn’t swallow the whole thing, but I don’t know how much liquid he ingested. He’s looking fine so far. What should I do?

The Terro ant bait only has a little borax in it, and mostly inactive ingredients. Eating a small amount will cause some mild gastrointestinal irritation, which could cause some drooling, nausea, and diarrhea, but serious effects would be unusual. You can offer food and fluid as tolerated, and monitor for vomiting or diarrhea. No other treatment is needed at this time, unless he develops any symptoms.
