4-Year-Old Put Hand with Concrete Powder in Mouth – Is Medical Care Needed?
While walking outside, my 4-year-old touched some dry concrete powder and then stuck his hand in his mouth. I rinsed out his mouth right away. He seems ok. Does he need to see a doctor?

Dry concrete can irritate (in more than trace amounts), but the small, accidental oral exposure is not likely to hurt. Since you rinsed his mouth with water and he’s shown no symptoms, he should not need any further treatment. You can give him food and drinks, and watch for any oral irritation. Just keep an eye out for any mouth irritation, but serious problems are very low risk.
