Title: Ortho Hornet and Wasp Spray Got in Eye – Mild Irritation
I applied Ortho Hornet and Wasp Spray and a drip dripped off the wand and hit the middle of my eye on my face. I rinsed it off quickly, within a minute or two. The area is not red, and I had slight irritation but none more than that. Is there anything else I should do?

Brief contact with this pesticide on bare skin should not result in a serious problem. Some mild irritation is normal. You assessed and rinsed, and you don’t need to do anything more than gently wash the area. If it feels dry or sensitive, you can use a mild lotion. Please do not scratch or rub it. If the irritation progresses to redness, swelling, or pain, please return to your doctor.
